The Green Giraffe Day Nursery

Our Cardiff Bay nursery is on Dunleavy Drive. We are in a modern building that has been refurbished to our high specifications. All rooms feature wooden toys for the children, sleeping areas and large, bright windows. The landscaped garden provides a safe and exciting environment for children to explore and play.

The Green Giraffe is a beautiful building which has been converted to form modern day-care facility that meets all requirements, yet retains character and an amazingly homely, Eco-friendly feel. We care for up to 86 children per day in our private nursery school. With ages ranging from six weeks in our delightful Blueberry Baby room, through to 5-year-olds in our Sunflower Garden Preschool room. We currently have a number of childcare places available for children of all ages. Not only do we offer exceptional childcare in wonderful surroundings we also pioneer the Forest School ethos with our fantastic outdoor facilities and back opening to the Sophia Garden/ Bute Park.

The Green Giraffe Organic, Montessori Nursery is situated in the heart of Penarth conveniently located for residential areas and commercial businesses, surrounded by beautiful parks in a very prestigious residential district. The Green Giraffe – Penarth is in a very attractive Victorian building which is fully modernised to the highest standard, yet retain character and amazing homely, bright, Eco friendly feel. The nursery is very easily accessible via cars or public transport such as trains and busses or active travel. The Green Giraffe is an organic day nursery offers gentle loving care for 44 children a day through English language and offer the opportunity of care through the medium of Welsh. We give our children freedom to flourish and naturally inspire them to the love of learning. We have taken a fresh approach by following the Montessori teaching method and combined it with our knowledge of Early Years Foundation Phase alongside the work of other child theorists to provide all children in our care with a varied and balanced learning program. At The Green Giraffe Organic Day Nursery, we believe in ‘Childhood!’. Our organic environment is very carefully prepared, enabling each child to follow their own developmental agenda.  Our staff team nurture confidence, independence and self-esteem as a true preparation for life.  We provide an emotionally warm environment with fantastic eco-friendly resources and a beautiful and natural outside environment where children are allowed to be themselves.

Situated on The Parade, our nursery offers an ideal location for families in Cardiff City Centre and Roath, combining convenience with a warm, nurturing environment designed to inspire young minds. We care for up to 56 children – from 3 months to 5 years old – in a very carefully designed homely, stimulating environment. We offer gentle, loving care and outstanding Montessori style Early Years Education to the children.

The Green Giraffe Organic Day Nursery is situated in Radnor Road next to Radnor Primary School in a prestigious, residential area of Pontcanna. The nursery is also a short walking distance away from the beautiful Thompson’s Park. We care for 21 children from age 3 months to 5 years in a beautiful homely environment with the highest quality Montessori equipment.
