Morningside children’s nursery is an existing childcare provision which was established in 2010 as a worker co-operative. Previously situated in the grounds of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital the nursery has since moved to the existing premises of Nile Grove. The nursery provides day care and learning to children aged 3 months – School entry. It provides a safe and secure environment for its clients. The nursery delivers education in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Early years department. We use a number of documents such as Curriculum for Excellence, Realising the ambition and Pre Birth – three to name a few. The Ethos of the nursery is to treat every child as individuals regardless of age, race or background circumstances. It is our mission to work in partnership with families where we can work together to provide the best possible outcomes for our children. Where children are given the opportunity to build positive friendships developing solid foundations for future relationships. We aim to provide a setting where children are respected, valued and where their rights are promoted. With knowledgeable staff who are committed to continued professional development we will deliver a child led holistic learning environment with high quality play experiences which will equip the children with the necessary skills to journey through life building resilience, independence and creativity Morningside children’s Nursery is a small business run by an enthusiastic and highly committed staff base with the three directors having 100 years’ experience in this field, and we hope to continuing building the next generations.

Bonnington House Nursery is an independently run nursery situated in Edinburgh. The nursery cares for children aged from three months-old to five years old. Caring, trained staff help children settle into nursery, grow in confidence and have lots of fun. Stimulating activities indoors and outdoors help children boost their social skills and physical development.

Staff interactions were nurturing, respectful, and responsive to children’s needs and preferences. Established in 2012, Craigmillar Park Nursery and Preschool is situated within a spacious Victorian mansion house in the South of Edinburgh City and is registered for 121 children. The seven playroom rooms are on two floors, providing large, bright learning spaces with plenty of daylight. In addition, the nursery benefits from a 1,142 sqm ample outdoor space, a reception area where you will be welcomed by the receptionist, two dining areas, and an industrial kitchen that supplies freshly prepared meals onsite. The downstairs playroom benefits from direct access to the gardens divided for specific ages and stages of children’s development. STM at Craigmillar Park is near the University of Edinburgh Kings Buildings, Newington and the Grange. The playrooms benefit from beautiful views of Arthur’s seat, and the nursery is within walking distance of Inch Park and the local library. The nursery has been led by a long-standing management and staff team, who have provided excellent leadership and education since 2016.

No half day sessions are permitted. Minimum requirement of 3 full days attendance per week unless fully funded with pre school funding. The nursery has two buildings with superb outdoor spaces for all age groups. Many access points from the buildings for the children to use a free flow system to the garden for further learning. The nursery has long term staff who have a vast knowledge of supporting children's needs, interests and development. Our new setting at Craiglockhart Avenue, opened its doors in September 2024, registered for 50 children. This stunning traditional Edwardian villa was built in the early 1900s.St. Margarets Nursery acquired the property in 2024 and completely transformed it by creating modern purpose-built playrooms and adding an industrial kitchen to meet the newest standards. It provides downstairs open plan playrooms, cosy upstairs facilities for smaller children, and a 228 sqm large outdoor space. STM at Craiglockhart Avenue is just off Lanark Road, near Edinburgh Napier University. The nursery benefits from its position close to natural greenery, such as the Union Canal and Easter Craiglockhart Hill Local Nature Reserve. The playrooms benefit from natural daylight and were furnished with high-quality furniture and resources to inspire creativity and natural curiosity. Large outdoor space, annex situated in outdoor space for preschool children. Under Three building is 2 storey, all promote a free flow environment. Open door policy. Staff development is key to ensuring high quality learning and care is provided for all children. Age appropriate resources enrich the learning environment which also promotes choice and independence. Children are encouraged to learn frequently outdoors throughout their nursery day. Staff are responsive to children's needs and interests and make sure that they feel safe and secure whilst at nursery. Key worker system ensures that the staff build bonds with both children and parents.

Flying Colours Nurseries opened its new state-of-the-art nursery at Cammo Meadows, Edinburgh in May 2024. Situated just off Edinburgh's Maybury Road, our newest setting provides early years care and education for over 100 children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
