Our 2-year-old provision offers a calm, nurturing and carefully considered environment where children are supported to feel safe, secure and ready to explore the world around them. Children enjoy healthy snacks throughout the day, and those attending full-day sessions are provided with a hot, nutritious meal prepared by our on-site catering team. We offer flexible session options, along with breakfast club, after-school care and Holiday Club provision, supporting families with a range of childcare needs. Our ante-preschool playroom offers a warm, nurturing environment where children are supported to explore, play and grow in confidence as they develop their early social, emotional and communication skills. Each day begins with a welcoming start from our experienced Early Years team, led by a dedicated Lead Practitioner who oversees learning and development and provides a consistent point of contact for families. We follow a play-based approach to learning, where experiences are shaped by children’s interests and natural curiosity. Children enjoy rich opportunities for imaginative and exploratory play, both indoors and outdoors. Our thoughtfully designed environment includes areas for creative play, construction, early literacy and numeracy, role play and physical development, allowing children to move freely and engage deeply in their learning. We place high value on emotional wellbeing and relationships. Through secure attachments, responsive interactions and consistent routines, children develop confidence, independence and a strong sense of belonging. Our generous staffing ensures that every child is well supported and known as an individual. As part of our all-through school community, children benefit from carefully selected specialist experiences, including ballet, music and library sessions, all included within our fees. Children enjoy healthy morning and afternoon snacks each day, and those attending full-day sessions are provided with a hot, nutritious meal prepared by our on-site catering team, with all dietary needs carefully catered for. Outdoor play is an important part of daily life. We make full use of our beautiful school grounds, encouraging children to explore, be active and develop confidence in all weathers. We offer flexible session options, including breakfast club and after-school care, to support busy families. Our Holiday Club provision also allows children to attend for up to 50 weeks of the year. Our Preschool provides an exciting and purposeful final stage in your child’s early years journey, where they are supported to grow in independence, confidence and readiness for Primary 1. Led by an experienced Nursery Teacher and supported by a skilled team of Early Years Practitioners, children benefit from a carefully balanced approach that combines nurturing care with increasing challenge and opportunity. Our play-based curriculum becomes more intentional throughout the Preschool year, supporting children to develop early literacy and numeracy skills in meaningful and engaging ways. Learning is shaped by children’s interests, with opportunities for sustained play, problem-solving, creativity and collaboration woven throughout the day. As the year progresses, children are encouraged to take increasing responsibility for their own learning and routines. They develop confidence in communicating their ideas, working with others and becoming more independent in preparation for school life. Our rich learning environment offers a wide range of experiences both indoors and outdoors, including creative, construction, role play and early academic areas. Children have space and time to become deeply engaged in their learning, supported by skilled adults who extend their thinking. Being part of an all-through school allows us to offer a wide range of specialist experiences, including PE, Rugbytots, ballet, music and library sessions. These enrich the curriculum, introduce children to specialist teaching and help build familiarity with the wider school environment. Children enjoy healthy snacks each day, and those attending full-day sessions are provided with a hot meal prepared by our on-site catering team.
