Terms of service

These terms govern your use of nuuri.co.uk and related online services operated by Nuuri Ltd ("Nuuri", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. This document is a starting point for your business and should be reviewed by a qualified solicitor before you treat it as final.

The service

Nuuri provides information and tools to help families find childcare and to help nurseries present their settings online, including search, listings, enquiry features, and related functionality. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to enter into agreements with us through this site, unless you are supervised by a parent or guardian as applicable law requires. If you create an account or submit information on behalf of a nursery or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so. You are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site unlawfully or in a way that infringes others' rights
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt our systems or other users
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data at scale without our written permission, except as allowed by law
  • Send misleading, harassing, or spam communications via Nuuri
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation

Your content and enquiries

You retain rights in content you submit. You grant Nuuri a licence to host, process, display, and share that content as needed to operate the service (for example delivering an enquiry to a nursery). You confirm that your submissions are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share them.

Intellectual property

The Nuuri name, branding, software, and website content (other than user or third-party content) are owned by Nuuri or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or exploit them except as allowed by law or with our consent.

Third parties and nurseries

Listings and links may relate to independent nurseries or other third parties. Their services, fees, and practices are their own responsibility. Nothing on the site is a recommendation or endorsement unless we say so explicitly.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided for general information. We do not warrant that information is complete or up to date. Decisions about childcare remain yours. Nothing on the site is professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nuuri is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for claims arising out of or related to the site in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of one hundred pounds (£100) or the amount you paid us for the specific paid service giving rise to the claim in that period, if any. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, and other non-excludable liabilities).

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nuuri against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your content, except where prohibited by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we need to protect users, the service, or our legal position. You may stop using the site at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits where enforceable) will continue to apply.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory protections for consumers who reside elsewhere in the UK.
