Tam’s House

Tam’s House is a small, independent nursery based in a converted Victorian townhouse, providing a warm, home-from-home environment for up to 18 children. Rated Outstanding, the nursery has maintained full capacity since opening.

The nursery has two rooms: The Loft for younger children and The Den for older children. Both follow the Montessori philosophy alongside the EYFS, supporting children’s holistic development through practical life, sensory, cultural, maths, language, ICT, creative and imaginative activities, as well as quiet spaces.

Our spacious private garden provides opportunities for physical, social and sensory play, including gardening, bikes, ball games, sand and water play. Children also benefit from Spanish and music lessons, monthly projects and carefully planned experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity and independence.

As a small setting, we build strong relationships between children, staff and families, allowing us to recognise and respond to each child’s individual interests, strengths and needs. We work closely with parents through meetings, daily diaries, photo updates and shared projects.

Our Eco School Green Flag reflects our commitment to teaching children about sustainability and caring for their environment and community. Above all, Tam’s House aims to ensure every child feels loved, nurtured and confident, with the experiences and knowledge to explore the world and develop their own passions.
