About this Edinburgh Nursery

Description

The building was a childcare setting prior to Pinocchio's acquiring it in 2003, it was purpose built as a nursery with three play room age areas and a large kitchen. We are situated within the beautiful campus of Heriot Watt University in Riccarton.

In May 2023, we opened our first fully outdoor classroom. The children have 1,920m2 of woodland space to explore each day. Children benefit from being able to use their time between indoors and outdoors.

The children benefit from car free walking zones around the university campus and a walk to feed the ducks is one of the children's favourites. We have woodland areas next to the nursery, where the older children can enjoy Forest play.

We are on the following Lothian bus routes- 25 and 34. We are also a 5 minute walk from the Hermiston Gait Park and Ride where you can get the following buses-X40 and 40. We are less than 1 mile from Currie Primary school.

We offer outstanding childcare for children aged from 0 to 5 years, with 79 registered childcare places. We are open 7.30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.
