Little Adventures Nursery St Philips is proud to be rated Good by Ofsted, recognising the quality of care, education, and support our team provides for every child. As part of the Little Adventures Nursery Group – ranked in the UK’s Top 20 Nursery Groups based on verified parent reviews – we are delighted to be trusted by families across the region to give children the very best start in life.
We are also thrilled to have been nominated as ‘New Nursery of the Year’ at the National Nursery Awards, reflecting the passion, dedication, and investment that has gone into creating a truly special nursery for local families.
Our St Philips nursery has benefitted from a £250,000 investment in brand-new equipment, resources, and learning environments for children to explore, play, and thrive. Every day is filled with opportunities for independence and confidence-building – from helping to set the table at mealtimes, to self-serving their own food, pouring water, and tidying up after themselves.
Your child will be supported by our highly trained practitioners, backed by a central quality team with over 80 years of combined early years experience. Together, we are committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, inspired, and ready to take on their own adventures.

Tiny Travellers (0–18 months) Our Tiny Travellers room is a warm, nurturing space designed especially for babies from birth to 18 months. With a calm and cosy environment, it’s the perfect place for your little one to take their very first steps on their nursery journey. What’s included: We take the stress away for parents – nappies, wipes, formula (where needed), and all organic meals are included in your nursery fees (unless meals are opted out of). Our in-house chef freshly prepares nutritious, organic meals every day, tailored to babies’ weaning stages and individual dietary needs. Daily routine: Breakfast is served around 8:00am, followed by a relaxed morning play session. Morning nap time is offered around 9:30–10:30am, but we always follow your baby’s home routine where possible. Lunch is served at 11:30am, after which many babies enjoy a lunchtime nap. Tea is served at 3:00pm, with bottles and snacks available throughout the day. Home time winds down with quiet activities and cuddles. Activities & experiences: Every day is filled with sensory opportunities to spark curiosity – from treasure baskets and messy play, to music, stories, Makaton signing, and tummy time. Our practitioners plan activities based on each child’s stage of development, ensuring they’re supported to grow in confidence, communication, and movement. Outdoor time is also part of our daily routine, with age-appropriate equipment for babies to safely explore fresh air and nature. Sleep & care: Our dedicated sleep area provides a peaceful, monitored space where babies can rest in line with their individual needs. Staff work closely with you to mirror your home routines, helping your child feel settled and secure. Above all, our Tiny Travellers team offer endless cuddles, smiles, and reassurance – making sure your baby feels safe, loved, and ready to explore the world around them.

It’s a vibrant, stimulating space where curiosity, imagination, and independence shine. What’s included: Everything your preschooler needs is covered – all meals, snacks, milk are included in your fees. Focused small-group time to build early literacy, maths, and social skills. Lunch at 11:30am, followed by quiet time or a rest period for those who need it. Afternoon activities including outdoor play, role play, creative arts, and problem-solving games. Tea at 3:00pm, then a calm end to the day with stories, singing, and reflection time. Activities & experiences: Big Adventurers enjoy a wide mix of play-based and structured activities – from phonics and early writing, to cooking, STEM play, storytelling, and expressive arts. Outdoor exploration is an everyday highlight, giving children the space to climb, run, dig, and investigate nature. Independence & school readiness: Children are encouraged to take increasing responsibility for themselves – serving their own food, putting on coats and shoes, tidying up, and managing their own belongings. Practitioners weave in early maths, language, and problem-solving skills, so children feel confident, capable, and ready for school. Sleep & care: Most Big Adventurers have outgrown naps, but quiet spaces are always available if children need a rest. Our team continues to work with families to support toilet training, healthy habits, and emotional wellbeing. Our Big Adventurers team are passionate about celebrating every milestone and achievement, giving your child the confidence and skills they need for their exciting next chapter.
