Kiddy Academy Wavertree was opened in November 2013. The building is a purpose built one level nursery premises located within Wavertree children’s centre. This setting is registered for 60 children from ages 0-5 years. The nursery has 3 large open plan nursery rooms and a fully fitted kitchen where meals are prepared fresh onsite daily. To the rear and side of the building is an extremely large, fully enclosed and room specific outdoor play area which can be accessed from each of our separate rooms to allow free flow play throughout the nursery day. The nursery is managed by a supernumerary nursery manager called Jenny. Jenny has extensive early year’s experience of over 22 years and has been apart of our kiddy academy family since we opened in 2008. The nursery manager is also supported by our deputy manager, these work closely together to ensure our high standards of quality throughout the nursery are met. Each of our rooms has a room manager who are highly experienced in running our rooms to exceptional standards and support their staff team to provide outstanding care to all of our children.

ollowing on from our success of receiving an ‘outstanding’ grade from Ofsted we opened our third nursery to accommodate our once again large waiting list. Here in this large detached building, we have aimed to preserve its historical character whilst providing an exciting and stimulating environment for our children. We have a Baby room with its own self-contained milk kitchen and changing room. The toddler room (Honey Bees) which enjoys lovely large windows has its own toilets and changing area. The spacious and airy Bizzy Bee preschool has many spacious areas for construction, painting and role play amongst many other areas. At Orrell Park we have a fantastic indoor Garden Room where the children can spend lovely quiet moments or play in our Soft Play Area. Quite often you can hear the children learning their phonics with our qualified teacher. Aswell as our nursery garden we have also developed an attractive walled Nature garden where alongside den building and story telling the children explore and hunt for bugs. Access here is via our drive on drive off car park and a pram store for those who need it is available outside. There is a train station and bus stops with direct links to the city centre close by.

Following the success of our nurseries across Liverpool, we were delighted to expand further by acquiring our first-ever existing nursery setting. Recognising the need for additional high-quality childcare in the area, we worked tirelessly to restore and transform this four-story building into a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children. Our Baby Room is located on the ground floor, benefiting from large front and rear windows that allow plenty of natural light to flood the space. It also features a dedicated sensory room, which doubles as a changing area, creating a calm and engaging environment for our youngest children. The Toddler Room, situated on the first floor, is a bright and spacious area with its own toilets and changing facilities, allowing children to explore and play with ease. Our Pre-School Room, located on the lower floor, is designed to promote independence and school readiness. With direct access to the garden, as well as its own toilets and changing facilities, it provides a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor learning. Bumbles Old Swan is ideally positioned on Derby Lane, Old Swan, offering excellent transport links via Queens Drive and direct routes into the city centre. For added convenience, we provide a large drive-on, drive-off car park, as well as a dedicated pram store at the front of the nursery, making drop-offs and pick-ups effortless for both walking and commuting families. 1st Steps Day Nursery was founded in Bootle in 2003 with a commitment to provide the highest standards of care and education. 1st Steps Waterloo, was opened on April 3rd 2018 and is registered for 61 children. Located opposite Potters Barn and close to Crosby Marina, the setting can be easily reached via bus and train with stops within walking distance, and is closely situated to the major route out of Crosby. It boasts large gardens, open spacious rooms and a soft play area.). Our vision is to provide a unique place where children think, play, problem solve and learn together with adults in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. Our mission is to deliver rich learning experiences to our children by providing stimulating and exciting opportunities that promote every child's individual learning and social, emotional, language and physical development.

JETs Nursery opened in 2011 and is a small setting which provides a nurturing, family like atmosphere for all children. We provide childcare for children from 2 years until school start, we are open 7.30-6, Monday to Friday 50 weeks of the year. With our large, spacious rooms we take up to only 16 children a day in our 2year old room and up to 24 children in our Pre-School room. This means that all children get the time and opportunities from our practitioners to thrive and learn at their own individual pace. We understand that each child will develop at their own pace and we celebrate individuality and individual milestones. Each child will have a key carer who will encourage them to develop to their full potential by planning activities for them around their interests and stage of development.

In 2007 following on from the success of Maghull nursery where we had a large waiting list, the time seemed right to open our second nursery especially when we were approached by a local school to provide quality wraparound care for the children who attended their school. All our playrooms here are on the ground floor. At the front of the building we have an open plan baby room with its own milk kitchen and changing room. At the rear of the nursery you will find our toddler room which shares its toilets and changing area with our preschool. Quite often the children can be heard chatting to each other from the different rooms which helps with the transition to the bigger preschool room. Here we have a lovely pergola attached to the back of our Bizzy Bee preschool, which allows for continuous indoor/outdoor play. You will also find a separate garden for our babies and toddlers. We are fortunate here to have a cycle track and a cosy willow cave for quiet times, as well as our Telly Tubby hill where you can regularly see the children becoming physically confident as they run and roll down the slope. The children benefit from having close links with the two local schools and we enjoy visiting our two sister nurseries. Parking here is at the front of the nursery where there is ample space for many cars. We have an indoor pram store for those who need it. The nearest bus stop is outside the car park and the train station with direct links to the city centre is close by

We are a family owned Children’s Day Nursery with facilities for children aged 3 months to 5 years of age. We are privileged to be situated in a lovely village setting in Liverpool within the residential area of Childwall. We provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment which will allow your child to develop confidence, independence and good social skills. All our children are encouraged to undertake a wide range of activities encompassing all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. The setting has eight rooms over three floors to accommodate 70 children and secure enclosed spacious gardens in which the children can play safely.

Maghull nursery is the first nursery we opened. It is a large detached building located on Northway Maghull next to the popular Bobby’s Field, story has it that there was once a horse residing there called Bobby. We bought the building in 2004 when it was being used as a Doctors surgery. Following extensive refurbishment, it became a lovely home from home for the children we care for. We have a Baby room with its own self-contained Milk Kitchen and changing room, a toddler room with its own changing facilities and small toilets. The preschool room is large and airy with big windows out onto the local area. Here you will also find a changing area and child size toilets. Our large child friendly garden opens to a fun cycle track alongside our beautiful willow walkway which we developed along with our parents. To complement the garden, we also have a garden room which is where you will find our children, building, creating and exploring in and around our mud kitchen. Our children visit the local library and other places of interest using our own minibus or turtle bus which the children find very exciting. Access is via our drive on drive off car park with a lockable outdoor pram storage room. The bus stop is across the road with the train station about 1 mile away.

Smarties Nursery is a small and cosy 'home from home’ style of childcare setting. We try to replicate the home environment so children feel safe and secure whilst you are out at work. This helps children to grow and develop, acquiring essential social skills and the ability to learn. With safety and security in mind, all staff are DBS checked, trained in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding; there is an approved fire detection and evacuation system in place and there is CCTV and a door entry system. We are proud to have remained open to Key Workers throughout the Covid Pandemic. An enabling environment allows children to develop their curiosity and skills whilst exploring alone or with friends. This promotes independence, whilst children know they can seek adult support when they need it. Qualified and experienced staff ensure their teaching methods are adapted for different situations and scaffold children’s learning; and sustained shared thinking extends children’s critical thinking skills, so they develop skills they will need when they start primary school. Key Persons ensure that each child is safe, secure and nurtured and that teaching is tailored to their interests and style of learning. Older children work with their key person to plan their day and long-term projects. Younger children’s planning is based upon current interests and children's individual schemas and learning styles.
