We are a family owned children’s day nursery, open 50 weeks per year, to all babies and children aged 0-5 years. We are open from 7.30am until 6pm Monday to Friday, except bank holidays and over the Winter Festive shut down period. We are an Ofsted registered provider and our last inspection in 2022 rated us ‘Outstanding’ for the second time running.
We offer a homely environment with small cohorts of babies and older children. We find children and nursery staff get to know one another quickly and easily! Our aim is to ensure each individual child enjoys playing, learning, and developing alongside children of similar age in our happy and safe nursery. The quality of the childcare we offer is therefore, a key priority, and everything we do is carefully planned by our experienced and caring team members. Our high-quality teaching is complemented by a very broad range of engaging play resources, and peripatetic teachers who visit regularly to deliver exercise via ‘Stretch-n-Grow’ and a love of music with Becca from Pop Up Percussion. For babies and nursery class we also have visits from Moo Music delivering fun and energetic sessions for the children! The older children also have weekly forest school sessions with Ryan and Spanish classes with Claire from Kidslingo.

Our Baby & Toddler age group prides itself on providing a ‘home from home’ experience. We want to make your baby’s first experience away from home a happy and positive one. We also understand the impact of children’s surroundings on their development. We therefore aim to create a stimulating, clean, and safe environment for very young children to explore, which will then inspire and encourage all areas of learning to develop through play.
As children move through to Nursery Class between the ages of 18 months and 30 months there is more structure to their daily routine. Children take part in Key Carer time where they spend time with their Key Carer and children of a similar age and development to them. Throughout the rest of the day, they spend time together in a group or taking part in small group activities both indoors and outside. We value the importance of spending time with children of the same age while recognising that younger and older children learn from others and develop their ‘Managing Feelings and Behaviour’ and ‘Making Relationships’ skills.
While in this phase group, children develop skills and abilities which they will build upon as they get older. At their younger age in this group, children receive an initial introduction to phonics and grasping further concepts of numbers. Children will spend time developing their interpersonal skills, allowing them to grow in confidence across a range of social situations. We understand the importance of outdoor activities and pride ourselves in providing a range of opportunities to continue learning in an external environment. As they get older, your child will be prepared for the next phase of their development, so we focus on school readiness during later years. We continue to engage our children with relevant activities designed to promote all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, thereby encouraging each child’s independence. We also include sessions that focus on the Foundation Stage ‘Letters and Sounds’ and ‘numeracy’ areas of development.
